Title: Customer Service Golf Course
Pay: $12-$14.
50/hr.
Martin County Parks and Recreation Contracted through reSOURCE Schedule: varies (must have Weekend Availability) Must be able to pass criminal background, drug test and MVR SUMMARY: This is a skilled position that focuses on providing customer service through the assigned areas and may involve: opening/closing facilities, setting up and breaking down of events and activities, cash handling and processing customer transactions, deliveries, selling camp and birthday party packages, customer service in golf course operations, concession stands, waterpark, recreation facilities, and athletics, monitoring assigned recreation activities and facility usage, performing minor maintenance and custodial duties, and other general parks and recreation support activities.
Incumbent will be assigned to the selected area at the discretion of the department, based on the needs of the department and/or season in the year.
Incumbents are expected to be cross-trained in one or more areas of assignment.
Work is reviewed through employee observation, facility inspection written and oral reports.
In the event of a natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee may be required to perform emergency duties as directed.

) Collect fees or other charges from the guest while operating a POS (Point of Sale) computerized revenue collection system and takes registrations for recreation programs and facility reservations Balance cash drawer to ensure money received matches sales processed.
Answer phone inquiries and give information to the public accurately and courteously.
Greets visitors; provides information to customers.
Maintains order and discipline at the facilities and gift shop, enforces proper facility usage, and enforces rules and regulations Monitors activities.
May perform clerical duties and janitorial/light cleaning duties as position requires.
Work evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
Performs work related to this job description as required.
Seasonal Customer Service Attendant assigned to Golf perform the following duties: Welcomes guests to the golf course; arranges players in proper starting order and maintains pace of play on the course.
Informs guests of course and cart path rules; explains processes to customers such as retrieving range balls, how the golf cart GPS functions, etc.
Collects receipts from each customer to verify check-in; properly records tee times and cart numbers.
Maintains constant communication with the Pro Shop Attendant(s) and Ranger to notify them of slow play or other concerns.
Responds to all customer concerns, questions, and complaints in a positive, respectful, and courteous manner at all times; reports these comments to a supervisor.
Keeps starter’s area as well as the 1st and 10th tees clean; maintains an appropriate supply of cups, lids, and straws at the beverage station.
Assists with tournaments.
Assists in course maintenance by: fixing divots and ball marks, replacing course stakes, ridding the course of litter, clearing driving range of baskets and balls.
Monitors pace of play and directs slow groups.
Speaks to patrons on the course and assists them in any way possible.
Fills in and/or covers cart attendant shifts as needed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: (Note: The knowledge, skills, and abilities identified in this class specification represent those needed to perform the duties of this class.

Ability to operate cash registers, computers, adding machines, and other office equipment.
Ability to provide exceptional customer service to all ages, including interaction with children, adults, the elderly and persons with special needs.
Ability to work a flexible work schedule.
Ability to assist in special events and swim meets as needed.
Ability to perform clerical duties and have the ability to perform monetary transactions.
Ability to write simple correspondence, respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, service vendors, coaches, local businesses or other staff members.
Ability to maintain facilities clear of safety hazards.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Must possess a High School Diploma or an acceptable equivalent and prior customer service of golf-course experience preferred.
Additional qualifying education and/or experience which provide the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities may be substituted one for the other on a year for year basis.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License Position may require first aid/CPR certification to be obtained within the first 6 months of hire and maintain same certifications as a condition of continued employment.
