*Essential Functions:*
*The person in this position will manage the aquatics departments in Stuart and Indiantown.
*Directs and supervises program activities to meet the needs of the community and fulfill YMCA objectives.
Establishes new program activities and expands program within the community in accordance with strategic and operating plans.
Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with community organizations.
Monitors daily pool operations to adhere to all state, local and YMCA health and safety regulations.
Conducts lifeguarding, swim instruction, First Aid and CPR trainings association wide.
Develops and monitors program budget to meet fiscal objectives.
Recruits, hires, trains, develops, schedules and directs personnel and volunteers as needed.
Reviews and evaluates staff performance.
Develops strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals.
Ensures records of staff certifications are current and complete.
Conducts and ensures proper maintenance of pools.
Secures and schedules pool facilities.
Maintains accurate records of pool chemical levels and facility maintenance.
*Qualifications:*
Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.
Demonstrated maturity, patience, and a minimum 2-3 years prior aquatics and supervisory experience is required.
Jeff Ellis and Associates Certifications required.
The successful candidate will have a high attention to detail and an acute safety awareness, proven communication skills.
Demonstrated successful fiscal management.
The ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment as part of a team is essential.
Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
Requirements within 30 days of hire include: completion of: Child Abuse Prevention for Supervisory Staff; Working with Program Volunteers; CPR; First Aid; AED; Bloodborne Pathogens.
