The Aquatics Supervisor is an integral part of our team, having an impact on staff and class management, growth and development of the team, safety and community outreach.
We are looking for someone that has a passion for the water and working with children while also being highly organized, dependable and open to feedback.
As an aquatic supervisor you will report to the Aquatic Director and the Owner during shifts and provide support throughout the pool deck as needed.
You will also be assigned to teach swim lessons daily.

This is a full-time position that requires afternoon/evening and weekend shifts.
Qualifications:
High school diploma
3-5 years’ experience in water safety and swim instruction
Lifeguard Certification, Water Safety Instructor Certification (preferred)
Tasks involve the ability to exert moderate physical effort which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderate weight (up to 50 pounds), bending, stooping, stretching, squatting, and sitting
Must possess strength and endurance required to maintain constant supervision of swimmers
Must have the visual and auditory ability to keep track of multiple swimmers and to identify and respond to environmental and other hazards related to pool activities
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team

Responsibilities:
Under general supervision, this position provides safe practices for swim lessons including, observation, monitoring, and patrolling, water safety training and education, and adherence to and enforcement of all applicable rules and policies to create and maintain a safe environment for all patrons
Manage staff scheduling and ensure adequate coverage for all shifts
Train and supervise lifeguards and other aquatics staff
Conduct regular inspections of the facility to maintain cleanliness and safety standards
Incumbent in this position will also be responsible for scheduling shifts and rotations, assisting with enrollment, providing direction to the staff with their duties, and ensuring that swim lessons are running on schedule, as well as various other duties associated with the pool operation
Other duties include the responsible handling of pool rentals and parties, and teaching Lifeguarding classes
Ad hoc duties include cleaning the pool deck, changing area, and restrooms
*This position requires the ability to work days, evenings, weekends, and cover shifts when necessary
