The Quality Manager is responsible for leading the quality assurance strategy and operations across the organization.
This role involves the development, implementation, and management of quality management systems (QMS), ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.
The Quality Manager will oversee internal and external audits, manage supplier quality, and drive continuous improvement to enhance product quality and process efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Management System Oversight: Maintain and update our current QMS that aligns with organizational goals and complies with industry standards such as ISO 9001.
Ensure the system supports continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Regulatory Compliance: Guarantee compliance with all relevant industry regulations and standards, adapting processes as necessary to meet changing requirements.
Audits and Compliance Monitoring: Plan and conduct internal and external audits to assess QMS effectiveness and compliance with required standards and regulations.
Lead corrective and preventive action plans in response to audit findings.
Supplier Quality Management: Establish and maintain a robust supplier quality management process, including evaluation, selection, and ongoing performance monitoring, to ensure suppliers meet quality expectations.
Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Lead continuous improvement projects using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen to improve quality, efficiency, and reduce costs.
Quality Metrics and Reporting: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality, providing regular reports to senior management on system effectiveness and improvement opportunities.
Team Leadership: Manage and develop the quality assurance team, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
Provide training, support, and guidance to team members.
Customer Satisfaction: Address customer feedback, manage complaints, and implement quality improvements to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management, with significant experience in a leadership role.
Deep knowledge of quality management systems, standards (e.
g.
, ISO 9001), and quality improvement methodologies.
Professional certifications such as Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), or Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) are advantageous.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
Proficiency in statistical analysis software and quality management tools.
May require travel to supplier and customer sites, conferences, and training events.
